The guests’ end of the house has its own large dining room and drawing room with log fire, piano, and plenty of games and books.

The Bed &; Breakfast price includes our substantial English breakfast. This includes cereals ( home made as well as the usual varieties ), and then a choice of traditional English cooked breakfast, or kipper, poached haddock, or continental breakfast.

The drawing room, like all our rooms, is hand painted, in this case in the manner of Rex Whistler.

It has a beautiful open fireplace, 19th century, which is always lit in cold winter months.

There is a piano, and plenty of games; also an information table which gives ideas for places to visit in the locality.

For those staying with us, we are happy to offer remote working in the peace and quiet of our drawing room between the hours of 10am – 3pm
( let us know in advance so that you don’t get disturbed) We have very high wifi speeds due to having fibre to the premises.

We can provide light suppers by the fire in the drawing room. Typically, these consist of home made soup ( using vegetables from our garden where possible ) followed by a plate of delicious mixed sandwiches, and a slice of Lynne’s cake. We have an interesting wine list and are fully licensed.

Alternatively we can book a table for you at the Watts Russell Arms which is ten minutes walk away. This pub provides unusual freshly cooked dishes created by the landlord, Bruce. For more information see www.wattsrussell.co.uk.
