Spring - Wild Garlic Season
Spring is just one of many spectacular seasons in the Peak District! Wander the local paths between March and May to see wild garlic growing in abundance, then join us at the breakfast table to enjoy it. We pair this year’s forage with leeks and local cheese in our vegetarian sausages — rustic, seasonal, and distinctly Stanshope.
Spring - Halldale’s Purple Blankets
The local landscape never ceases to amaze. If you timing your visit right between late April and May, a quick 10-minute stroll from Stanshope Hall into Halldale rewards you with a stunning blanket of purple flowering orchids.
Autumn/Winter - Gold & Amber at Ilam Park
As the days grow shorter, the landscape transforms. Throughout October and November, Ilam Park puts on a spectacular show as the historic trees turn vibrant shades of gold, amber, and deep red. It is the perfect time of year to lace up your boots for a crisp morning walk under the autumn canopy, before returning to the warmth of Stanshope Hall.
